What is the difference between impact and non-impact windows?
Impact windows use laminated glass and reinforced frames tested to resist hurricane winds and flying debris, and are required in many Florida coastal zones. Non-impact windows are ideal for projects where hurricane rating is not required, offering excellent aesthetics, comfort and energy efficiency.
Are Vitralux windows approved for use in Florida?
Yes. Our VL-100 Series products carry Florida product approvals (FL42637 fixed, FL42638 single hung, FL47458 French door, among others) with evaluation reports for large and small missile impact. The documents are available on each product page and on our certifications page.
Where do you manufacture and where do you deliver?
We manufacture in our plant in Palmira, Colombia, and serve projects throughout Colombia. We also export our impact windows to Florida, USA.
Can I order custom sizes?
Yes. All our windows, doors and mirrors are made to order and can be manufactured to your exact project specifications.

Do you make products other than impact windows?
